About the Founder
John McGinty, the visionary Deaf founder of SignesGlobal (SG), established this boutique agency to enhance and enrich connections across the Deaf, hard of hearing, and hearing communities. With deep roots and an extensive network within the global Deaf community, John is committed to fostering inclusive communication, meaningful access, and empowerment through SignesGlobal’s tailored services.
Drawing on his diverse background in theater, film, advocacy, and accessibility, John brings a unique perspective to his work. As a Deaf professional who has navigated the worlds of entertainment, major organizations, and corporate environments, he understands firsthand the importance of communication access—and the difference it can make when accessibility is approached with intention, respect, and genuine understanding.
Fun fact: John is also a proud Deaf actor who has appeared in three Broadway productions: Children of a Lesser God, King Lear, and Our Town. His career on stage and screen has allowed him to bring Deaf experiences and perspectives into spaces where they are not always represented, while demonstrating that Deaf talent belongs everywhere.
Under John’s leadership, SignesGlobal provides sign language instruction, interpreting and accessibility services, consulting, workshops, and other customized solutions designed to create stronger connections. Whether teaching, consulting, coordinating services, advocating for access, or building relationships, John and his team are dedicated to helping organizations and individuals find the right path forward.
